March 28, 2018 – Dr.  Robert Erickson, via the University of Colorado, Boulder (CU Boulder) Has been Awarded from The Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) a $2.1M Grant through the Creating Innovative and Reliable Circuits Using Inventive Topologies and Semiconductors (CIRCUITS) Program

Dr. Robert Erickson, CTO and Co-Founder of BREK Electronics, has been awarded a $2.1M grant through his lab at CU Boulder for “A High-Voltage, High-Reliability Scalable Architechture for Electric Vehicle Power Electronics.”

This award, funded through the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) ARPA-E program, was released in August of last year, and the project is officially starting as of March 2018.  These types of projects, for EV power electronics, have analogous applications with PV power electronics.

Dr. Robert Erickson’s lab at CU Boulder is the research engine for BREK Electronics.

November 16, 2017 – Erickson Electronics (dba, BREK Electronics) is Approved for $250K Award through the Advanced Industries Accelerator (AIA) Program

Prof. Robert Erickson, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of BREK Electronics, has been notified of approval for an award from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, or COEDIT, in the amount of $250,000 through the AIA program.

These types of awards from COEDIT allow an investment in Colorado companies to drive economic growth, support jobs, technology commercialization, and industry development plus quality of life improvements throughout Colorado.
